The exhibition ‘Glass in all its splendour’, on show at the Vitromusée Romont from 9th of April to 9th of October 2022, was Simon Berger's first show in an institutional context. As is customary for his exhibitions, Simon Berger visited the space before developing the concept and was inspired by the architecture with its combination of historical and modern elements. The works on display were arranged to experiment with light while a layering of portraits afforded a wide range of visual effects. The constant exploration of different techniques once more proved central to Simon Berger's creative process as his artworks continue to evolve through new uses of the material. The artist refers to the exhibition as a milestone in his career. The show contextualised his work within the history of glass art, linking his oeuvre to a long lineage of creation in the medium, while visualising his iconic and unique approach.
