For one of his first exhibitions at Artstübli in Basel, Simon Berger not only showcased his work in the gallery space, but also intervened in its architectural setting: The gallery's façade was transformed into a work of art itself as Berger inscribed a portrait on one of the glass panes. Originally intended as a temporary intervention, the portrait was kept following the successful show and has since become a symbol of the ongoing fruitful collaboration between the gallery and the artist. It was in fact thanks to this portrait that Simon Berger's art was discovered, resulting in an enquiry for a project to depict Kamala Harris, the current Vice President of the United States.
